For the past 25 years, Tom Mah has been a valued member of the business community; as founder and chief instructor of the Tom Mah School of Karate, he has been delivering education in Martial Arts to Kelowna residents of all ages since 1989. A sixth degree Shihan (certified teacher) black belt in Shito-Ryu Karate, he has demonstrated determination, perseverance and integrity in his pursuits through the years. Mah was born in China and moved with his family to northern British Columbia in 1964 at the age of 10.
